TOURISM NORTH PERU  Trujillo is the main axis of every touristic excursion to the northern Peru. In its surrounding areas they are many archaeological sites of the Moche and Chimu cultures. Historically it is the first Peruvian city where the independence from Spain was proclaimed. In the downtown we can find interesting architectonic buildings from the the colonial and republican ages, such as old houses and churches. On the picture we see the magnificient Main Square, with its impressionant Freedom Monument, which has become a local emblem. |
